Our Training
We know intuitively that diversity matters. It's also becoming more and more obvious that it makes sense from a purely business perspective. According to McKinsey's most recent study on the subject, businesses that are more diverse in terms of race, gender, or ethnicity are more likely to produce financial returns that are higher than the national industry median. It is significantly less likely for businesses in the bottom quartile in these metrics to generate returns above average. Also, it's likely that diversity is a competitive advantage that over time swings market share in favor of more diverse businesses. Despite the strength of business cases showing that diverse, equitable and inclusive organizations achieve better financial results, very few organizations can say they are truly inclusive. This could be due to DEI programs addressing the symptoms of the issue and not the root cause, which is the perpetuation of unconscious biases.
